I have been trying to build muscle since aaaages but it is so hard to do it. I found out that I am an ectomorph body type which means it is extra hard for me to build muslce. Does anyone know of any food groups that help with this? I usually just eat hamburgers and sandwiches. And sometimes I just make a potato dish like scalloped potatoes or fried or mashed potatoes. I'm not sure how to optimize my diet to gain weight.

Yo! I get your struggle. Some body types are indeed harder when it comes to building muscle. But it is okay because I can tell that you have been working hard, and hard work actually never goes to waste. Either way, I'm going to refer you to a blog and a few personal tips that might help you. So for me, I have a very strict diet that I came up with after reading this blog befithealthclubs.com/how-to-build-muscle-for-ectomorphs/. You'll find a whole meal plan that is specialized to your body type so itll help you in working towards your goal with a targeted effort. Apart from the special meal plan, I also take amino acid supplements (these ones work nicely www.vitaminexpress.org/uk/amino-acids-supplements) because they are great for body building. I hate protein shakes but this is just a capsule that you have to pop in your mouth so it feels more efficient. Plus, amino acids also help me with reducing post-workout fatigue so theres that!
